see that we opened up the
wall through the dining room
to allow light to flow through
from the bay window. The
addition of wood flooring and
a fresh coat of paint on the
walls and trim make this a

An easy cosmetic fix to
update any space is to paint
dark wood finishes and add
wood flooring. The white
cabinetry gives the feeling of
a clean, open, airy space and
complements the brick

The hall bathroom. We pretty
much removed everything
from this room and started
fresh with a new cabinet,
countertop, and faucet set,
new mirror, fresh paint and
ceramic tile flooring. As you
can see in the picture to the
left the existing door was
awkward and opened into the
hallway; so we removed and
replaced it with a pocket door
unit.

A popular choice lately with
kitchen remodels is the removal
of light boxes. In this kitchen we
removed the light box and
replaced it with a modern light
fixture over the island and some
recess lighting around the
perimeter. We installed black
granite countertops, new
hardwood flooring, painted the
cabinets and added new
hardware, removed the wallpaper
and painted the walls. Some other
changes made which are difficult
to see in these pictures - a new
ceramic sink was installed, as
well as a new ceramic cook top.

the piece of wall sticking out at
the top of the mirror which
conceals electrical wires. So we
removed this fur down and

We updated the tub in this
space not by replacing it, but by
removing the outdated tile step,
re-tiling the tub surround, and
adding a new faucet set. Crown
moulding was also added to the
walls to add elegance to the
space.
